Custom Horse Blankets

Some horses are happy in all but below average temperatures, additionally others suffer in the cold night of fall and Horse Blankets should be put on your horse. To decide if your horse needs a Horse blanket, read on  and then you will know if a little extra insulation by means of a Horse Blanket is be a benefit.
Is it below 50 Fahrenheit? Even if your horse has a long hair coat, he may be better with a Horse Blanket at this temperature. This is just a general rule of thumb, ever since other weather factors like the humidity, biting wind, wet or scorching sun, may call for a Custom Horse Blanket. On the other hand, some breeds of horses adjust to colder temperatures, especially those with thick coats.

Has your horse’s natural coat been clipped. If so, your horse may need a Horse Blanket year round  (or at the very least a light weight one) when the temperature goes fall short of 60 degrees F.
Does he mainly live in a horse stall? If your horse lives part of the time in a warm barn, he'll feel the cold more than a horse that lives outside permanently.
Now if your horse lives in an open pasture? A full-time outdoors horse will naturally grow a heavier coat to ward off the elements, but wind and rain can destroy most of the insulating effect. So presuming there is no shelter in his pasture, he will require some wind- and water-resistant Horse Blankets as insulation.
If the horse stall is drafty then cold drafts in your barn or horse stall may resemble the same effect as cool outside, they diminish that layer of warm air next to your horse's skin, making him feel colder. A Horse Blanket is necessary.

And if your horse is visibly shivering, feel him with your hands; check your horse to see whether he's too cold blanket him up in several light Horse Blankets or one winter weight and get him to a shelter quickly.
In summer to see if your horse is too warm , slide your hand under his Horse Blanket; if he's sweaty, he needs either no Horse Blanket or for UV protection there are lighter Custom Horse Blankets .
